Information Collection and Usage
Heart-Based Living may collect information from subscribers to our Web site solely for the purpose of providing them with better service. You have our promise we will not use this information for any other purpose.

E-mail Newsletters
If customers wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters or Web site updates, we ask for contact information (such as name, e-mail address and, occasionally, demographic information). We use this information in the same manner as we use contact information in the registration process described above. Recipients of our newsletters or updates can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of each. 

Communications with Us
We may have features customers can use for submitting information to us such as our feedback forms. Letters to the editor and similar submissions may be made public. Requests for service, support or information may be forwarded internally or to our contractors, business affiliates and advertisers to better respond to specific requests. We may retain e-mails and other information sent to us for our internal administrative purposes and to help us to serve customers better.

Automatic Data Collection
Our Web sites have features that automatically collect information from customers to help us deliver content specific to customers' interests and to honor their preferences. This information assists us in creating Web sites that will serve the needs of our customers. One of the most common ones is the “cookie.”

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the customer's computer. The primary purpose of cookies is to recognize repeat users. Our cookies do not store or reveal any of your personal identification information.

Our Web sites contain links to other Web sites. Heart-Based Living is not responsible and shall not be held accountable for the privacy practices or content of other such Web sites. We encourage our customers to be aware when they leave our Web site and to read the privacy policies of each Web site to which we may link and that may collect personal identification information.
 
For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type, navigation history and the IP address of all visitors to our Web site. This information does not contain anything that can identify customers personally. We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis and system administration and to gather broad demographic information about our customer base for aggregate use.

We may combine demographic information supplied by a customer at registration with aggregate Web site usage data to provide general profiles in aggregate form about our customers and their preferences in the content of the Web site and advertising. This data does not include any of the customer’s personal identification information. We may share this composite data with our advertisers and business affiliates to help them better understand our offerings and customer base.

Neither medical/diagnostic information nor the state of our customers’ health is collected, distributed or reported to anyone.

Sharing Your Information
We do not share personal identification information with other companies, apart from those acting as our agents in providing our products and services. They are required to agree to use that information only for that purpose and to keep it secure and confidential.

We will also disclose information we maintain when required to do so by law. For example, we may do this in response to a court order, subpoena or other legal obligation; a law enforcement agency request; or in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property. Customers also should be aware that courts of equity such as U.S. Bankruptcy Courts might have the authority under certain circumstances to permit personal information to be shared or transferred to third parties without permission.

International Customers
Our Web sites are hosted and our services are provided in the United States of America and are intended for and directed to customers in that country. If you are accessing the Web sites or services from the European Union, Asia, or any other jurisdiction with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure that differ from United States laws, please be advised that through your use of the Web sites and services, you are transferring your personal information to the United States of America and you consent to that transfer.
